Nora Franco, a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, great-aunt and friend, went to her eternal rest in Heaven surrounded by her family on February 3, 2024. Nora was born to the late Enrique and Maria Franco on November 7, 1963 in Mathis, Texas. She is survived by her siblings Nelda, Henry (Sandra), Javier (Melesha), Sandra and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Nora graduated from Mathis High School and attended Del Mar College. She worked in banking and accounting throughout her career and most recently worked as a substitute teacher with several local school districts.
Nora’s faith was a big part of her life, and she was known as a prayer warrior within her close circle of friends. She dedicated her life to serving God and spreading His word, bible studies with her friends and would always pray for anyone in need. Nora cherished her family, but the joy of her life was her nephews and nieces. “Aunt No”, as they called her, looked forward to family celebrations, always bringing gifts and books for the kids. Nora loved to cook and bake, often experimenting with new recipes for family gatherings. Her kindness, generosity, and caring spirit will forever live within our hearts. Nora’s departure leaves a void that will be felt deeply by all who knew and loved her. Nora, rest in peace.
