Nina D. Asensio

Dee attended Corpus Christi High School, currently Miller High School and played the Cello in the Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Mr. Wolfe; director and donor of Wolfe Recital Hall at Del Mar College. She worked for Flour Bluff School District for approximately 10 years. Dee loved to play the violin with her church at local nursing homes for 25+ years. She was part of the Children’s Evangelist Fellowship Good News Club for many years.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bert M. Asensio; siblings, Melvin Johnson, Kathryn Thornton, Myrtle Rice, Nell Blissit, Forrest “Johnny” Johnson, Brooks Johnson, Antha Hahn, A.C. Johnson, and Henry Johnson.

Dee leaves behind to cherish her memories her sister, Janette Arche; beloved daughters, Pamela Bell, Debra Walz, Carla Finkhaus (Lonnie); grandchildren, Jimmy Bell, Jackie Townsend, Leslie Fiscus, Rex Walz, Brooke Mernaugh, Jarret Finkhaus; and five great grandchildren.

She will be forever loved, forever missed.

Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Funeral Service will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. with Interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
