Monica R. Gonzalez passed away on January 3, 2011 at the age of 74. She was born on May 4, 1936 to Macario and Josephina in Corpus Christi, Texas.
She will be dearly missed by her family who was always by her side.
She is survived by her close friend, Aselmo Martinez; daughters, Lupe Hernandez, Juana and Maria Alaniz; son, Ruben Elizondo; sisters, Victoria Nieto and Gloria Lugo; brothers, Lupe R Lugo, Cruz R. Lugo and Juan R Lugo. She is also survived by her grandson, Joey among numerous other grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; nephews, Raymond Jade and George Lugo among numerous other nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel on Thursday, January 6, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 7, 2011 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church at 11:30 a.m. with interment to follow at Rosehill Memorial Park.
