Mauro Cruz Rodriguez Jr, 77, passed away in the comfort of his home surrounded by loving family on Friday, March 10, 2023. He was born on August 17, 1945 as the 2nd oldest son to Mauro Sr. and Manuela (Rodriguez) in Brownsville, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his oldest son, Mauro Rodriguez III (Tres); a brother, Manuel Rodriguez and 2 sisters, Natividad Flores and Ester Lopez. He is survived by 2 daughters, Norma Briseno (Nick) and Sandra Rodriguez and 1 son, Roberto Rodriguez (Beatrice); Ofelia Rodriguez who he raised a family with for 45 years; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mauro was an employee of the Nueces County Road Dept #4 for over 20 years and the City of Corpus Christi Park Division for nearly ten years where he retired from.
He enjoyed spending time taking his children fishing on the weekends. Mauro had a “Green Thumb”. You could find him tending to his plants and maintaining his yard (and his neighbors). And of course, a hard core Dallas Cowboys Fan.

Visitation will begin Wednesday, March 15, 2023 from 5pm - 9pm with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7pm at Funeraria Del Angel Cheyenne, 549 Cheyenne St. Corpus Christi, Texas.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 16,2023 at 10am at Funeraria Del Angel Cheyenne, 549 Cheyenne St. Corpus Christi, Texas. Interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
