Mary Ann Garcia (Mary Ann Longoria Rivera), age 72, from Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, on June 29, 2023. Mary Ann Garcia is proceeded in death by her parents Julian C. Longoria and Josephine R. Longoria.
Mary Ann Garcia attended school at Rose Shaw Elementary, Ella Barnes, and Moody High School in Corpus Christi. She worked for Luby's Cafeteria, Shoppers World, TRW/IRC/TT Electronics, and ended her working days as a security officer for several businesses. She enjoyed doing arts and crafts, fishing, bowling, traveling, going to bingo, playing darts, singing karaoke, and watching her Dallas Cowboys and her Miller Bucs. She was a band mom to many Miller Alumni. Her love was her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and attending any events in support of them.
Mary Ann is survived by her sister Mary Ellen Espinosa, her children Mark L. Rivera (Barbara), Cynthia Rivera Ramon (Paul), Jose Rivera, Jr. (Janet), Melanie Rivera Gomez (Albert), 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, numerous nephews, nieces and bonus grandchildren.
A celebration of life will take place on Friday, July 14, 2023 at Funeraria del Angel - Memorial Holly, located at 3442 Holly Road, in Corpus Christi, Texas. Viewing will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with prayer and hymns at 1:30 p.m., followed by a procession to Memory Gardens Cemetery.
