Maricela A. De La Rosa

Maricela A. De La Rosa, 49, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away on May 21, 2023. She was born in Kingsville, Texas on August 15, 1973. She graduated from H.M. King High School and Del Mar College. She received her high school diploma and Cosmetology Certificate.

She married Antonio M. De La Rosa on February 7, 2004.

Maricela worked in Special Education for Holy Family Catholic School, Kingsville ISD, Robstown ISD and Corpus Christi, ISD. She was a member of St. Peter Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church.

She loved photography, crocheting, crafts, Mariachis, singing, playing violin and above all, taking care of her Princess, Maricarmen and her hunny, Tony De La Rosa.

She is survived by her husband, Tony De La Rosa and her daughter, Maricarmen De La Rosa; parents, Arcadio Amaya, Jr. and Vilma Q. Amaya; sister, Patricia Amaya.

A visitation for Maricela will be held Thursday, May 25, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415. A holy rosary will occur Thursday, May 25, 2023 at 7:00 PM, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415. A funeral mass will occur Friday, May 26, 2023 at 2:00 PM at St. Peter, Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church, 3901 Violet Rd., Corpus Christi, Texas 78410. An interment will occur Friday, May 26, 2023 at 3:30 PM at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415.
