Maria Guadalupe Soto, 82, passed away peacefully on Thursday evening, May 17, 2018. She was born on February 11, 1936. She was a graduate of Roy Miller High School and proudly served our country in the U.S. Army for two years.
She married Ignacio Antonio “Tony” Soto on July 20, 1958. They remained happily married for 65 years. Maria loved life and loved spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her son; Tony Soto and her sister, Roberta Cortez. Maria is survived by her husband, Tony and sons, Carlos (Thelma), Peter (Susan) and Roland (Sylvia). She was the proud matriarch of 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Maria is also survived by her four sisters, Rosy Ann (Jimmy+), Vivian (Leo), Ruby (Paul) and Betty (Ken+) and brother, Robert (Sylvia).
Visitation will be held at Funeraria del Angel-Memorial Holly, 3442 Holly Rd. on Thursday, May 24, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm that same evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Christ the King Catholic Church on Friday, May 25, 2018 at 1:00 pm with interment to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
