Maria Venegas Soliz passed away on August 16, 2016. She was born on August 5, 1937. She graduated from Mary Help of Christian/ San Juan Bosco in 1953 in Laredo, TX. Maria was a devoted wife and mother and also a faithful servant of God. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and sketch painting. Maria was preceded in death by her father, Jose P. Venegas; her mother, Angela S. Venegas; her brother, Javier Venegas and a sister, Ramona Venegas. She is survived by her spouse, Jose Soliz; children, Maria E. Soliz, Adriana (Israel) Barrera, Sandra (Guadalupe) Garcia, Juan Jose Soliz, Rolando (Raquel) Soliz and Jose Soliz Jr; 22 grandchildren and 53 great-grandchildren. Memorial service will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Monday, August 22, 2016 at 11:00 am. Inurnment will follow at 1:00 pm at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
