She was born in Mexico on June 9, 1935. Maria was married to Virgilio Solis on June 20, 1954.
She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church where she was an active member of the Guadalupana Society, and active minister as a lector and the church choir.
Maria had a passion for gardening, sewing and knitting. She will be dearly missed by her family, church family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Albert (Rodina) Solis, Olga (Victor) Alegria, Danny (Brenda) Solis, Virgil (Janie) Solis and Fernando Solis; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother and four sisters.
Public visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home with a rosary to be recited at 700 p.m. that evening. Rites of a Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 19, 2017 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
