Mary was preceded in death by her parents Viviana Sanchez and Valentin Orosco Sr.; Step-father, Jose Sanchez; sisters, Angelita Espinosa, Lupe Reyes, Leonor Orosco; and brother, Valentin Orosco Jr.
Mary, 86, is survived by her husband, Gilbert, of 66 years; children, Nena (Jimmy) Guerra, Sylvia (Tom) Kinberger, Gilbert (Irma) Cantu; sister, Ursula (Eusebio) Lopez; grandchildren, Leann (Jose) Garza, Jacob Jasso, Jennifer ( Steven) Gomez, Jenna Jasso (Robert Leal), Jessica Jasso, Gilbert Anthony (Destiny) Cantu, Bianca Cantu, Jenifer Guerra, Jimmy IV(Kristin), Cameron (Ashley)Kinberger, Zachary(Jessica) Kinberger; and 18 great- grandchildren.
Mary loved to be called “Wela” by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family, and friends.
Mary’s greatest love and joy was her family. She showed her love in so many different ways; attending all her family events, grandchildren’s games and performances, cooking homemade meals for all, and being a part of their daily lives.
Mary worked for IRC Transistors for 25 years and was a Union officer. Mary was a member of Our Lady of Pilar Church and assisted with serving their Sunday breakfast. She was a member and volunteer at Broadmoor Park Senior Center.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, September 18, 2022 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Old Brownsville Rd. from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, with a rosary at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held Monday, September 19, 2022 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Pilar Catholic Church followed by a burial service at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
