Esperanza “Hope” Martinez, 73, passed away on September 6, 2014. She was well known in the community where she owned and operated “Hope’s Alterations” for many years. She served people and law enforcement departments in their uniform fittings. She touched many people’s lives. Hope was a kind mother, wife and friend.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 42 years, Leonardo Martinez, her children; Leo Mercado, Carlos Mercado, Leonard Martinez, Jr., Jesse Martinez, David Martinez, and one surviving sister, Guadalupe Ornelas.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 8, 2014 at Funeraria del Angel, 549 Cheyenne Street, from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A Chapel Service will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
