Maria Luisa Martinez 91, of Corpus Christi, Texas was born on October 29, 1920 in Princess Wells, Texas and went to be with the Lord on July 4, 2012. Maria Luisa was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 71 years of marriage, Jesus G. Martinez; her children, Jesus B. (Angie), Beatrice (Alex), Carlos (Lala), San Juan (Reymundo), Antonio Luis and Juan Ceasar; sisters, Sarah Posas, Geraldine Davila, Maggie Harris, and brother, Juventino Moreno. Maria Luisa is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, a member of the Cursillo movement and the Guadalupanas.
Public visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, July 8, 2012 at Funeraria Del Angel-Memorial Holly chapel. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 9, 2012 at Christ the King Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
