Marcial is survived by his wife of 21 years, Rebecca (Salazar); his children, Norma (Charlie) Coffell of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, Nora DeRusse and Norbert Saenz of Corpus Christi, Marcial Saenz of Baytown, Cynthia Rodriguez of Sugarland, Debbie (Richard) Reynolds of Houston, Terri (Herman) Amaya of Katy, Patricia Fitzgerald of Houston, and Evelyn (Jeffrey) Robinson of Austin. Other survivors include sixteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild and a great-grandchild expected in August as well as many other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Marcial and Herlinda Saenz, sister, Cruz Delgado, and wife, Elida Garcia Saenz.
Marcial was born in San Diego, Texas and attended Texas A&I University in Kingsville before moving to Corpus Christi where he and his wife raised their children. He worked for Corn Products and eventually moved to League City where he worked for Exxon in Baytown. He was an active member of St. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church and most recently St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. He was an avid spectator of many sports teams, including the Texas Longhorns, Dallas Cowboys, and the St. Louis Cardinals. He was well known at a local Whataburger where he and friends would gather daily. Thank you JJ.

The family appreciates the wonderful care and support offered by Angel Bright Hospice personnel and his nurses, Pam, Kevin and Stephanie.
Visitation will be Monday, May 25, 2015 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home in Corpus Christi from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with the rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church located at 7522 Everhart Rd., followed by burial at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
