She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was known as the “Angel of the Neighborhood.” Marcie dedicated herself to caring for her neighbors, acting as care giver, surrogate mother, and confidante. She cared for many elderly people with love and kindness, even after she had become ill with Cancer herself. She had a few hobbies but she was most passionate about gardening and tending to her flowers and plants with the same love and dedication she gave to her family and friends. Her beautiful Easter Lilies which bloomed every Spring in her front yard were her pride and joy. They even appeared in the local paper in 2003.
She is preceeded in death by her husband, Nicolas G. Aguilar, her mother, Maria Del Carmen Colmenero, and her father Jose Colmenero. She is survived by one daughter Sandra Aguilar, and two sons; Nicholas Aguilar III, and Joseph (Becky) Aguilar, all of Corpus Christi. She is also survived by her siblings; Graciano (Maria) Colmenero, Susana Esqueda, Jose Maria (Olga) Colmenero, Maria C. (Freddie) Tamayo, Valentin (Angie) Colmenero, and Jaime (Janie) Colmenero. She has five grandchildren, Brittany (Jeffrey), Devin, Matthew, Kaitlyn, and Ryan. She will dearly missed.
