Manuela Montoya

Manuela was a loving wife who ran the family home and went above and beyond to help her husband Jimmie Richard Montoya Sr. with their family businesses. She was a lighthouse and beacon of hope for all of her children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, and nephews. Everyone came to her for her straightforward advice, knowing they would be vulnerable and safe with her. The room was always filled with laughter and love when Manuela was in the company of her siblings. Her sisters experienced her sense of humor and love most often. Throughout her life, she had many hobbies ranging from gardening, fishing, watching her novelas, and filling everyone's hearts and stomachs with the most amazing cooking. In her later years, she enjoyed her connection with her family through her cell phone on FaceTime and games. But most of all she spent her last years dedicated to loving her great-grandchildren.

Manuela is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Richard Montoya Sr.; mother, Juana Garza Villarreal; father, Francisco Acuna Villarreal Sr; and siblings, Albert Villarreal, Virginia Munoz, Daniel Villarreal, and Francisco Villarreal Jr.

Manuela is survived by her children, Sandy Villarreal Rosales (Robert Rosales Jr.), Jimmie Richard Montoya Jr., Lori Ann Montoya, and Roman Eric Montoya Sr. (Tania Cantu); grandchildren, Amber Rosales Joslin (Ross Joslin), Leslie Montoya, Alyssa Montoya, Alexandra Rodriguez, Jalen Estrada, Manuel Estrada, Jon Paul Montoya, Jeremiah Montoya, Randy Rafael Lopez, Roman Eric Montoya Jr., and Zadie Loraine Lopez; great-grandchildren, Aubriella Rose Suarez Montoya, Zariyah’Lynn Renee McCann, Adanae Rae McCann, and Rhodes Thomas Joslin; sisters, Minerva Silva, Margie Gonzalez, and San Juana Villarreal (Angel Regino); brothers, Ponciano Villarreal, Jorge Villarreal, Hilberto Villarreal (Rosa Villarreal), and David Villarreal (Sylvia Villarreal).

Visitation will be held at 1 PM on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with a Holy Rosary to follow at 1:30 PM. Funeral Service will occur at 2 PM that same day, with Rite of Committal and Interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
