Manuel Mayorga Garcia

Manuel M. Garcia, 88, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away on January 6, 2023. He was born in Sarita, Texas on February 16, 1934. He married Martina Peña in July 1954. Manuel worked for B.D. Holt Caterpillar for 35 years as a Mechanic Welder and retired in 1996.

He was a member of the Church of Christ. He was a big Dallas Cowboy fan, Houston Astros fan, and loved fishing, church and dancing.

He is preceded in death by his father, Guadalupe Garcia and mother, Dominga Mayorga Garcia; wife, Martina Peña Garcia; sisters, Lucia G. Treviño, Julia Jaime, and Norma Garcia.

He is survived by his children, Sarita Gutierrez, Manuel M. (Giselda) Garcia, Jr., Israel (Jill) Garcia, and Noe (Noelia) Garcia. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Manuel will be missed by his brothers and sisters; Lupita Gonzales, Lucinda Alvarez, Eva De La Garza, Janie Baker, Roberto Garcia and Melida Alvarez.

Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Saturday, January 14, 2023 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM. Funeral Services will begin at 1:30 PM with burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
