Lynn Claire Lankford

Lynn Claire Lankford, 67, of Tahlequah, Oklahoma passed away on August 1st, 2013. Her family was by her side in Corpus Christi, TX as she passed on to be with the Lord. She was born in Bronx, New York in 1945 and lived in many areas throughout the United States. She fell in love with the warm weather and blue waters of Corpus Christi, Texas but eventually chose to make Tahlequah, Oklahoma her home alongside her husband, Kenneth Joe Lankford.

Lynn was a very strong mother and professional accountant. During the 1980’s she chose to go to Nursing School and graduated from Bacone College in Muskogee, Oklahoma with a nursing degree. She worked as an RN at Christus Spohn Hospitals in Corpus Christi, TX and Tahlequah City Hospital in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. She was a vital team member in the OR, CCICU and Recovery.

Lynn is survived by her four sons, Daniel Joseph Lankford, Peter Michael Desopo, Joseph Anthony Desopo and Santino Desopo. She also leaves behind their wives, six grandchildren and one great grandchild, many close family members and friends.

It was Lynn’s wish to waive any type of ceremony. Her desire was that no one should grieve her passing. Instead she hoped that everyone would remember her with joy in their hearts and a kind word for anyone in the nursing community.
