Luis was a truck driver and he loved his work. He was the proud owner of Mora Trucking Company (a company that he had run with his father for many years). He used to say that the best part of his job was getting to meet people. He never met a stranger and he got to learn more information about people than you would ever want to know. He had one of the best sense of humors that you will ever see. He was quick to the draw, witty, and always had a comeback and he always made people laugh. Up at MD Anderson, everybody loved him.
Luis was a great big guy in stature, and he could be rough and tough but to the people that he carried close to his heart, he was a gentle giant, great big teddy bear who would do anything and everything to help those in need. He was also one of the most generous people you would ever want to know. He was a listener, but he wouldn’t take advice, he was a free spirit.
Luis was preceded in death by his father, Juan Mora, Sr. and brother, Gabriel Mora. He is survived by his mother, Guadalupe Mora; the love of his life, Ana Maria Elizondo Mora; sisters, Ofelia (Joe) Reyes, Olivia Mora; brother John (Jesusa) Mora; daughter, Roseann (Alfonso) Chavez and numerous nieces and nephews.
