She is preceded in death by her father, Guadalupe Garcia; mother, Dominga Garcia; husband, Lorenzo A. Trevino Sr.; sister, Julia Jaime and granddaughter, Debra Allen.
She is survived by her son, Lorenzo Trevino, Jr. (Yolinda), two daughters, Dora Earhart and Diana Benavides; her siblings, Lupita (Juan) Gonzalez, Manuel Garcia, Lucinda (David), Eva (Ricardo) DeLaGarza, Janie Baker, Robert Garcia, Mele (Jesse) Alvarez, 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 2 great- great-grandchildren.
She was a woman of faith who prayed for all her children and grandchildren daily. As a matriarch, she kept her family together planning gatherings regularly. She especially enjoyed playing “56”. She will be remembered for her unconditional love, nurturing nature and devotion to her family.
A special thank you to Dr. Campbell and staff at Bay Area Medical Center for their compassion and understanding manner. We would also like to thank the nurses at Angel Bright Hospice for their assistance in her journey to Heaven.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Smokey Valdez, Scotty Trevino, Rick Salazar, Joe L. Trevino, Andy Trevino, Chris Earhart, William Michael Gonzales and Mathew Allen.
Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Monday, September 22, 2014 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. Visitation will continue at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at 9:15 a.m. with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Riviera, Texas.
