Lidia L. Cristan

Lidia Longoria Cristan, 94, passed away on December 14, 2023, in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born in Alice, Texas, on December 12, 1929, to Severiano and Maria Algeria Longoria. She was raised in Mirando City, Texas. Lidia married to Jesus Cristan on January 7, 1950.

Lidia worked as a school cafeteria worker and as a provider for most of her life. She enjoyed her time with family and always enjoyed laughing and joking around. She especially enjoyed her time with her children and grandchildren. Some of her hobbies were cooking, baking, and she enjoyed making bracelets for her loved ones. She was a devout Catholic.

Lidia is preceded in death by her husband, Jesus Cristan; son, Jesse Longoria Cristan; daughter, Rosa Linda Cristan De La Rosa; father, Severiano Longoria; mother, Maria Algeria Longoria; and sister, Ida Cavazos.

Lidia is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Cristan; granddaughter, Laura (Mario) Cristan Garcia; grandsons, Roy De La Rosa Jr. and Rene (Krystal) De La Rosa; and great-granddaughter, Olivia Renee Garcia.

Visitation will be held from 5 PM until 9 PM on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with a Holy Rosary to be recited that same night at 7 PM. Continued Visitation will occur at 12 PM on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 PM at Christ the King Catholic Church, followed by Rite of Committal and Interment at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
