He was born in Haynes, Arkansas on August 5, 1954 to Will Nesbitt and Allie V. Nesbitt.
He was educated in the public school system. He worked in the hospitality industry. His true love was a part time DJ nicknamed Kooley T.
Leonard was preceded in death by his dad and mom, Will Nesbitt and Allie V. Nesbitt; sisters, Sarah Willis and Velma Ford; brothers, Willie Ford Jr. and Roy Nesbitt.
Leonard Nesbitt was a representation of love, he greeted everyone with a smile and never departed without saying "see you soon." His legacy to the family is the strength and love he had in his heart. Those are the attributes that will inspire his family throughout the years.
He leaves to cherish his memory his son, James Leonard Nesbitt; sisters, Maxine Moore, Willie Mae Bussey (Jerry), and Evelyn Nesbitt. Also, brother, Romie Nesbitt and three grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at 12:30 PM with funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
