Lenny was my Moms Brother and my Uncle. I spent the first 9 years of my life living with him, his Two Brothers  Steven and Michael, (whom I am named after) and my Grandparents Skinner and Marietta. 
All my childhood memories are from 1444 Adobe Drive in Pacifica and Lenny was such a big part of it. 
From throwing me in the Fish Pond or in the hedges, to giving me Pink Bellies. And every time I’d go running back for more. I miss him Dearly and wish I could see him and hug him one more time.
And Kathy I am so sorry for your loss. Thank you so much for Loving him all these years. I know it was challenging at times but you were best thing to happen to Lenny. God Bless You and take care.

I am deeply sorry to hear of Len (Buff Head's) passing.  He and my Brother, Bud Papadakis, were good friends for many years growing up here in Pacifica.
I loved reading Len's posts on FB about all his fishing expeditions and the wonderful experiences he shared with so many fishermen and especially the first time fishermen.
I'm sure my Brother welcomed him in heaven and they are already causing trouble !

Captain Len was our neighbor and my son enjoyed petting his dogs. He always took the time to stop and talk to him about fishing, and generously offered to take him; we appreciated his kindness and enthusiasm. He was fortunate for the chance to do what he loved each day, and we will remember him with a smile.

I have many fond memories of Len, he will be deeply missed. We met in 1954 when his family moved in right next door to us in Linda Mar, CA. We instantly became friends for life, and shared many adventures.

I will miss you very much my friend. Seems like it was Saturday 5th, I had just pulled my boat out at Clems and Len drove over to me underneath the bridge and we talked for two hours.  As always talking about the fishing and life. Len and I became friends in 2013, and we shared many fishing trips with one another as fishing guides. We also helped each other many times with repairs and such.  He would give you the shirt off his back to help someone. Len was a great Capt., friend, and person! Rest in peace Capt. Len.

Len was my best friend growing up, we were in kinda garden through 8th grade together and beyond , way beyond.
We lived almost next door to each other. Back then there was just a artichoke field that separated our houses.
We fished and hunted together throughout the Linda Mar Valley to the hills in Montara.
We tortured his brothers together , Bones and Mick all in good fun.
I loved Lenny aka ( Buffhead ) and his family, especially his mom who took us on vacation a few times camping out of state, until the last time where Len and I went too far into some valley in Oregon and got lost. We followed the creek down out of the mountains but boy was she mad. Great lady. I know a couple guys that were very close too,
Johnny V. and Nick C. who are in mourning too.

This earth was a better place with Lenny on it.

I will miss him dearly and all the great memories are cemented into my brain forever.

RIP my friend... we have been fishing together for over 20 years and I'm not sure what I'm going to do without you. I promise to always keep my lines tight, watch the tides, take great photos, and one day I'll be that fishing guide you always wanted me to be :-)

I really knew Lenny from the Winters days. Always a sweetheart and a gentleman.  Rest in peace dear friend. You will be missed but always remembered.

I will always remember Lenny  from the Winters days and fishing in Pacifica...One of a kind type of guy who always saw the glass 1/2 full even when it was empty  Always had a good story or joke and fishing was in his genetics like so many of us
