Larry Allen Reynolds was born December 29, 1939 to Basil and Gladys Reynolds in Little Rock, Arkansas. He valiantly fought cancer for many years after being diagnosed with cancer in 2008. Larry passed away peacefully at home on June 24, 2016, surrounded by his loving family.
A long-time resident of Corpus Christi, Mr. Reynolds is survived by his wife of 52 years, Joyce Reynolds. He is also survived by his children, Sherri Roberts (Kent) of College Station, Dianna Sager (Dave) of Colleyville, and Allen Reynolds (Anna) of Abilene, Texas; six grandchildren, Ben Roberts, Stacia Roberts, Kelton Reynolds, Macy Reynolds, Jaron Reynolds, and Kylie Sager. He is also survived by his two brothers, John Reynolds (Beverly) and Mark Reynolds (Patsy) both of East End, Arkansas; nephews David, Steven, and Kyle Reynolds and niece Jodi Roark.
Mr. Reynolds faithfully served his country for 26 year in the US Navy and then began his second career with H&R Block where he prepared taxes for the last 22 years. While serving the Lord throughout his life, he enjoyed being an elder at Windsor Park (Kings Crossing) Church of Christ. He took special interest in evangelistic efforts such as the Prison Ministry. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Kings Crossing Prison Ministry, 5901 Yorktown Boulevard, Corpus Christi, Texas 78413.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 26, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 8200 Old Brownsville Road. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday, June 27, at 2:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
