Karen was born to Mary Louise Lorenz and Milton Eilert Lorenz in Corpus Christi on April 30, 1951.
She graduated from W. B. Ray High School in 1969, attended the University of Houston, the University of Texas at Austin and Texas A&I University in Kingsville. She graduated from Texas A&I University in 1974. She worked for a number of years for the Nueces County Appraisal District and for a private real estate appraisal firm in Corpus Christi. She enjoyed needle pointing.
She loved her family, including her many cousins who steadfastly loved and supported her.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Louise Lorenz.
She is survived by her father, Milton Lorenz (Corpus Christi), her sister, Janette Lorenz (Houston), and her brother Milton Lorenz, Jr (Corpus Christi). Her cousins, Bill Fagan (Houston), Mary Ann Dotson (League City), Anita Oliver (Georgetown), Louise Preece (Wimberley), Pat Freeman (Austin), Anais Glock (Austin), George Bryan Hill (Floresville), Jay Hill (Floresville), Bubba Barnett (Tomball), Linda Fuchs (New Braunsfels) and Nancy McGaugh (Angelton) are all honorary pall bearers.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 PM on Monday October 15, 2018 at Saint Luke’s United Methodist Church, 3151 Reid Drive, Corpus Christi, Texas 78404.
Visitation with the family will follow the funeral service at the church.
