Juventina Martinez

Juventina Martinez was called home to our Heavenly Father on March 27, 2011 at the age of 73. She was born to Jim and Vicenta S. Vargas on December 15, 1937 in Los Herreas, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and two brothers.

Juventina leaves behind to cherish her memories, her husband of 50 years, Domingo G. Martinez of Corpus Christi, Texas; daughters, Debroah Ann Thomas of Corpus Christi, Texas, Barbara Ann (Richard) Escobedo of Tallahassee, Florida, Corina Ann (William) Mandel of Corpus Christi, Texas; son, Gary Wayne Martinez of Corpus Christi, Texas. Also surviving her are 9 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, mother-in-law, Olivia Martinez, sister, Irma Lydia Garcia both of Corpus Christi, Texas, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Memory Gardens Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at 10:00 am at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
