She was born in Corpus Christi on May 23rd 1959. She raised rabbits when her kids were little and she always had pets that ranged from hedgehogs to dogs and cats. She loved all things dragons and native American. She loved to make wood art and was always looking for new fun ideas for her grandkids.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Elise Parks, and her daughter, Viola Perkins.
She is survived by her children Diane (Marco) Vargas of Sinton, TX, Jessica (Ryan) Ellis of San Antonio, TX, Ryan (Natalie) McCain of Robstown, TX, and Gary Downing III of Corpus Christi, TX; Grandchildren: Steven Vargas, Enrique Vargas, Timothy Vargas, Mikayla Vargas, Sarah Vargas, Emma Vargas, David Vargas, Trenton Ellis, Brooklynn Ellis, James McCain, and Julius McCain; Sister Barbara (Danny) Henson and brother Clem Parks.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home at 12:30 PM. Celebration of Life Services will begin at 2:00 PM with burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
