Juanita Salinas Zuniga

Juanita S. Zuniga, 87, departed this life on Saturday, June 1, 2013, in Corpus Christi, Texas. Juanita was born February 18, 1926 to Jose Salinas and Mariana Quiroga Salinas. Her parents and husband of 56 years, Epifanio P. Zuniga, preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Alfredo Salinas, Jose Marin Salinas and her sisters, Eva Salinas and Maria De Los Angeles DeLeon.

Juanita was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who devoted herself to family and to God. She had a strong and beautiful spirit that was full of love, hope, and faith, which she always shared with everyone.

She is survived by her sons, Epifanio Zuniga, Jr., Noe Zuniga, Adam Zuniga (Martha); all of her daughters, Laura Suarez (Daniel), Rosa Robles Zuniga, Jovita Valdez (Domingo), all of Corpus Christi and Amanda Garcia (Francisco) of Dallas; sister, Ramona Arizmendez of Monterrey, Mexico; 19 grandkids, 12 great-grandkids and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be, Oscar Robles, Joey Robles, Mingo Valdez IV, Mark Anthony Valdez, Frankie Garcia, Steven Zuniga, Jo Jo De Los Santos and Adam Lee Zuniga.

Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel-Memorial Holly, Thursday, June 6, 2013 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Holy rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm that same evening.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Friday, June 7, 2013 at 11:00 am with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
