Juanita Garcia, age 82, passed away January 26, 2013 surrounded by her loving and devoted family. She was born on December 28, 1930 to Nicholas and Antonia Cervantes in Floresville, Texas. She was raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents Nicholas and Antonia Cervantes; brothers Alexandro Cervantes and Alfredo Cervantes.
Juanita loved gardening and her beloved dogs. She will always be remembered for her laughter, quiet nature, service in the community, devotion to family and her love of the church.
She is survived by her loving son Isidro Garcia, brother Miguel E. Cervantes and sisters, Rosa Cantu, Panchita Cervantes and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Funeraria del Angel Chapel with a rosary at 6:00 p.m. that same evening. A Funeral Mass will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Holy Family Catholic Church, with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
