Growing up, Juan attended Orange Grove Independent School District and went on to train for the United States Army National Guard in Robstown, Texas. Juan enlisted in the United States Army in 1973 and retired in 1994. This is where he spent most of his career, measuring in over 20 years and 6 months.
Juan’s greatest passions involved spending time with his children. He was known for his love of dancing and watching movies. He was extremely proud of his duties in the Armed Forces. Juan will always be remembered for his great sense of humor and loving personality, always making it his mission to keep a smile on the faces of those he loved.
Juan moves on to be reunited with his father, Juan Dios; his mother, Felisida; and his sister, Sylvia Perez. He leaves his loving memories to the mother of his children, Josefa “Tita” Trevino; his sons, Orlando “Olie” Trevino and John “JP” Trevino; his siblings, Eva Gill, Jesse “Chuy” Trevino, Ramon De La Rosa, and Francisco “Pancho” De La Rosa.
Public Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at 9:00 am with a Holy Rosary to follow at 9:30 am. A Graveside Service will be held the very same day at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery at 11:00 am with Interment to immediately follow.
