Juan Manuel Martinez

Juan married Everarda Torres on January 22, 1966. He worked as a welder in the oil and gas industry until his retirement. Juan enjoyed spending time with his family, and cooking bar-b-que, especially carne asada. He also enjoyed spending time on his son’s ranch in Petronilla feeding the horses and cattle.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Isidro and Maria Martinez; grandson, Juan Carlos Rodriguez; brothers, Guadalupe Martinez, and Jose Luis Martinez; and sister, Socorro Morales.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 57 years, Everarda; children, Juan Manuel Martinez, Jr., A. David (Claudia) Martinez, Mirna (Carlos) Rodriguez, and Jair (Juany) Martinez; brother, Robert Martinez; grandchildren, Selene Rodriguez, Iris Martinez, Fatima Martinez, Miranda Martinez, Davy Martinez, and Manuel Martinez.

A public visitation for Juan will be held Friday, February 10, 2023 starting at 5:00 PM at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415 with a holy rosary beginning at 7:00 PM. A funeral mass will occur Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Pilar Catholic Church, 1101 Bloomington St, Corpus Christi, Texas 78416.
