Juan V. Garcia passed away on January 24, 2024 at the age of 78, in his hometown of Corpus Christi. He was born on September 15, 1945, in Brownsville, Texas, to Salvador Garcia and Maria Villarreal Garcia.
His battle with medical issues showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite the pain, Juan came out a hero and stayed strong until the end. Juan met the love of his life, Leonor Quintero while she was visiting her brother. Together they cared for 7 children, 23 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
Juan was preceded in death by his father Salvador Garcia and his mother Maria Villarreal Garcia.
Juan is survived by his wife, Leonor Garcia; his daughter Erika Perez; his daughter Sylvia Nelly Pereda (Andres Antonio); his son Jose Antonio Garcia; his son Esteban Cordova (Rosa Maria); his son Ruben Cordova (Guadalupe); his daughter Maria Carmen Castro (Roberto); and his son Jose Rigoberto Cordova.
Juan will be honored at Funeraria Del Angel located at 549 Cheyenne Street, Corpus Christi, TX 78405 on Friday, February 9, 2024 to celebrate his life. Visiting hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with the Funeral Service to begin at 1:00 p.m. and officiated by Rev. Jesse Garza with Interment to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, 2731 Comanche Street, Corpus Christi, TX.
