Jose Deo Vasquez Sr.

Jose Deo Vasquez, Sr., 75 of Corpus Christi, Texas, was called to Heaven on January 2, 2017. He was born in Mercedes, Texas on October 10, 1941. He later moved to Corpus Christi, TX where he resided the majority of his life where he met his wife.

He was married to Maria Guadalupe Vasquez on December 31, 1960.

Jose had a career in Insurance Sales for American General. He had a passion for music and playing his accordion.

He is survived by his loving wife, Maria Guadalupe Vasquez; his children: Jose D. (Michelle) Vasquez Jr., Fernando (Yadira) Vasquez, Marie (Michael) Powell all of Corpus Christi, TX, Janie (Oscar) Davila of Edinburg, TX, Eric (Jeanette) Guzman of Tomball, TX, 17 grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren; siblings, Matias Saldivar and Lydia S. Mata both from San Benito, TX.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 8, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, January 9, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church with Interment following at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
