Jose I. Franco

He will be forever remembered as a very caring and loving family man with a big heart. He truly viewed life as a gift and never took a single day for granted. His self-sacrificing spirit was evident in his life as he always put others before himself. All those who had the privilege of knowing him will carry every memory of him in their minds and hearts forever. He will be truly missed.

He is survived by his brother, Jose Ascencion Franco, of Corpus Christi and his sister, Celestina Franco Muñoz of Donna, Texas.

He is also survived by his wife, Aurelia V. Franco; 11 children, Jaime A. Franco, Graciela Franco, Jorge A. Franco, Jose Antonio Franco (Irene), Isabel C. Foster (Don), Minerva F. Perez, Irasema Martinez, Efrain Franco Sr. (Sylvia), Javier Franco (Irene), San Juanita Partington (Mike), Eduardo Franco (Norma). Also surviving are 21 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by 3 brothers, Jose Cruz Franco, Antonio Franco and Gabriel Franco.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.

Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
