Jose Emilio Flores

Jose Emilio Flores, 85 passed away on February 9, 2024. He was born in his hometown of Corpus Christi, Texas on December 10, 1938 to beautiful parents Emilio Flores and Mary C. Davis. Jose Emilio Flores will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.

Jose Emilio graduated Roy Miller High School. Demonstrating a strong sense of duty and commitment to service he joined the United States Army in November 14, 1961.

He was a dedicated entrepreneur and took pride in his landscaping business. Jose Emilio Flores worked many years as a mechanic and meter reader for the City Of Corpus Christi, Texas. He was known as the truest of Dallas Cowboys Fan with a heart of a joker. Jose enjoyed bingo dates, enjoyed dancing, and the occasional scratch off.

He married his wife Josefina Gutierrez Flores, and they both shared a beautiful life of 59 years together.

Jose Emilio Flores is preceded in death by his parents Emilio and Mary Flores; siblings, Josie Torres and Richard Flores, and son Adam Flores.

Left behind to cherish his memories is his wife Josefina Flores, his children, Joe Flores, Mary Helen , Mary Ponce, Arnulfo; siblings, Rosa Flores, Consuelo Martinez; granddaughter Megan Antionette Ponce, and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life for Jose will be held Wednesday, February 21, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Memorial Holly, 3442 Holly Rd, Corpus Christi, TX 78415, followed by a celebration of life service at 12:00 PM.
