Jose Carlos Cano

Jose Carlos Cano passed away on Monday, February 13, 2017 at the age of 60. He was born on April 12, 1956 in Kingsville, TX to the late Jesus and Idolina Cano. Carlos loved the outdoors, nature and taking photographs. He was a member of the local Botanical Gardens of Corpus Christi. He will be remembered for his love of music, especially jazz and classical music. Carlos was currently employed at Academy Sports and Outdoors and will be dearly missed by his peers.

He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Ida G. Cano. He is survived by his siblings, Linda Rodriguez, Diana (Ernesto) C. Hinojosa and Tony (Belinda) Cano; sister-in-law, Ermelinda De La Viña; nieces and nephews, J.J., Jacob (Jennifer), Jesse (Amanda), Lynda (Aaron), Ernie (Rene), Albert (Christine), Nick (Rheanna), Sandra (Larry), Tony Jr., (Jordie) and Dwayne. Carlos is also survived by fifteen great-nieces and nephews and other extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held at Funeraria del Angel-Memorial Holly on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm that same evening. Funeral Mass will be held at SS Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
