Johnny Ray Blomer

born on January 29, 1937 in Fort Worth TX to Joseph Blomer and Evelyn Pollock. He was

raised in Fort Worth where he graduated from Northside High School. He then enlisted in the

Navy from 1956-1962. Johnny “Ray” then received his associates degree from Del Mar college.

He worked as a pharmaceutical salesman for many years with 3M Pharmaceuticals. Johnny

“Ray” was a loving father and grandfather. Johnny “Ray” enjoyed traveling and was an avid

tennis player. He also enjoyed reading and watching classic movies. He will always be

remembered for his love for his family and his faith in the Lord.

Johnny “Ray” is preceded in death by his father, Joseph Blomer; mother, Evelyn Anthony, and

daughter Andrea Orr.

Johnny “Ray” is survived by his daughter Shelly Jimenez. His grandchildren: Brandon Avalos,

Vanessa Ryan, Natalie Barger, Madalyn Orr and Kaci Jimenez as well as his loving great-grandchildren. His brothers, Paul Blomer and Skip Anthony.

A committal service for Johnny will be held Wednesday, January 18, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery, 9974 IH 37 Access Road, Corpus Christi, TX 78410.

Services are entrusted to Funeraria Del Angel, 4901 Everhart Road, Corpus Christi, TX 78411.
