John was married to Angelita Arzuaga on June 24, 1962. He had a career as a Display Manager for Lichtenstein, JCPenney’s, and other various retail stores.
He is preceded in death by his parents and four sisters.
John leaves behind to cherish his memories, his loving wife, Angelita Velasquez; children, Adrianna V. De La Garza (Marc) and John A. Velasquez (Lisa); grandchildren, Sydney Velasquez, Tiger Velasquez, and Marc A. De La Garza; two great-granddaughters, Chloe and Camille Cirlos, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Pius X Catholic Church on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with visitation at the church beginning at 9:15 a.m. Interment to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
