Joe Homer Benavides

Joe Homer Benavides, Sr., a dedicated entrepreneur, passed away on September 1, 2023, at the age of 77. Born to Jose Maria Benavides and Eufrasia Benavides on March 4, 1946, he worked up until his last day.

Homer is survived by the love of life, his wife, Graciela "Gracie" Benavides; children, Joe Homer Benavides, Jr., his wife Rhonda Benavides, and Michael Nathan Benavides, Sr., his wife Jeani Benavides along with their families. His grandchildren Felicia Gallegos, Roger Benavides, Jesikah Lehouillier, Michael Nathan Benavides, Jr., Rozee Benavides, Lona Benavides, Lexi Benavides; and his great grandchildren Amada Gallegos, Jobe Jax Gallegos, Aubrey Jo Benavides, Jaxon Levi Gallegos, and Sutherland Benavides.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Rogelio Benavides, and grandson, Joe 'Joey' Benavides. In addition, he is survived by his sisters, Sulema Urias, her husband Robert Urias, and Gloria Jean Benavides, who held a special place in his heart.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, September 5th at 6:00pm at Memory Gardens Funeral Home located at 8200 Old Brownsville Rd. in Corpus Christi, Texas.
