Jesus was born in Corpus Christi, TX, July 5, 1930, to Jose M. and Antonia Treviňo. Jesus had an affinity for music and was a gifted artist. He focused his artistic aptitude in self-teachings of the harmonica and the guitar as well as sculpting, painting and sketching. Many happy memories stem from listening to him perform and watching him work on his creations. He enjoyed teaching his grandchildren the fundamentals of art and inspired his family with his personalized paintings and drawings
In 1955, he met and married Petra and went on to raise four daughters together. Jesus was a military veteran after proudly serving in the United States Army. He was a loyal and dedicated employee of the Corpus Christi Independent School District and Nueces County for much of his life until he retired at the age of 72.
He will be missed but his legacy of love, devotion and faithfulness will be carried forward by many friends and family. Jesus was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years Petra Trevino and his parents. He is survived by daughters Anna Bergara (Lee), Toni Guzman (Sergio), Alma Gomez, Janie Trevino; Jesus was blessed to have 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Monday, November 25, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Memorial Holly followed by a Celebration of Life at 7:00 p.m. Chapel Service will be held Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Memorial Holly. Interment with military honors to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
