Jane was born in San Benito, Texas on June 13th 1928. She was the daughter of Louis and Helen Morris.
Jane was a registered nurse and graduated from nursing school at the University of Texas at Galveston. It was there that she met her loving husband of 65 years, James Burke Morrison M.D.
She was an accomplished horseman and showed competitively for years. She and her husband were avid outdoorsmen. In the 1960’s she took up competitive skeet shooting. She soon rose to the rank of All American status. She won numerous National and International Championships. Needle pointing and gardening were two of her favorite pastimes. She created numerous pillows and Christmas stockings that will be treasured. Her green thumb produced some of the grandest succulent pots around.
Jane was a devout Episcopalian and served on the Vestry at Christ Church in San Antonio. She enjoyed serving on the Alter Guild for many years.
She is survived by two of her three children-- Her son Robert and his wife Kari, their son Robert Townsend, wife Emily and twin girls Mimi and Olivia and son Raleigh Travis, wife Cathryn and sons Dos and Reagan and her daughter Leslie and son Stefan.
Jane will be remembered as a loving wife, a caring mother and an extraordinary grandmother and great grandmother. We were all blessed to have her in our lives.
