A year ago today, God called and brought you to Heaven. Your presence here on Earth is sorely missed. Unfathomable....everytime I think of you I cry, looking to the sky, saying "I miss you, I Love You" trying to understand the Creator's will, simply asking "why??"...thinking what would've been?? Or what would we be doing at the moment?? Waiting for your texts at 5pm and even before cuz u always blew up my phone w messages of love and silliness😁 looking forward to the weekends with you and Keygan, seeing you first thing in the morning when I arrived to work. Those were the highlights of being your BF. The pain of losing you Babe is still very much fresh in me, although I hide my grief, it does get the best of me at random times....I thought I was doing ok, but I'm really not. I never took you for granted, just thought I'd have you for my lifetime. I cherish the 6 months we spent together as a couple and will never forget the times we shared, laughing and loving with the passion we held for each other. Living life without you just plain sux...I wanted to Marry you Jamye; be the best Husband I could ever be. I've always had feelings for you, bringing out the best in me always with your contagious, positive attitude.  As happy as I try to be, this feeling of void with out you has truly taken its toll, as I am certainly not the same Abel anymore. I know you'd want me to be happy,    I just can't shake not seeing you, holding you, kissing you, hearing you...just You, you, you😭😭 I long to see you in my dreams still, praying that someday u will visit...till then I will remain in shambles, thinking of you every second of each day, longing to be with you again. I just found out and I’m so sad. I think about you often and miss you with all my heart. And now my heart is broken.  Love you forever Jamye Perez. 

She would come in again sparingly the following weeks for lunch specials and breakfast, always smiling and making it a point to say good morning and chat. On Feb. 26th, I got a chime on FB Messenger, it was Jamye. From then on, we caught up chatting and genuinely filling eachother in on the past. March 3rd we were officially a couple, in May we were FB official. The first time I had met her family was at Robyn's wedding reception April 1st, she was proud to introduce me and I was embraced with smiles and kindness from all of them. That night was a memorable one, we laughed and not one time did she have a frown on her face. Towards the end of April, I got to meet her remarkable son Keygan, a shy boy at first, his comfort level soon opened up around me as he would know how I made his mom feel whenever we all hung out. The memories we made will forever be remembered and cherished, it was a short 6 months, but the best in my lifetime. Jamye and I talked about our future constantly and wanted to move in together after a year, I myself planned, after a year and 6 months to propose to her. On July 5th she texted me saying, " Baby, I Love You, you're the last man I want in my life besides Keygan. I told my Mom on Sunday, this is it for me, You are all I want." I melted when I saw this message and cried. 🎶You are the one I wasn't supposed to lose, I thought I'd have you for a life time🎶...You are loved by Everyone more than words can ever explain, Thank You for being in my life, sharing your love, time, the laughs and smiles that made our faces hurt. I will miss your GM texts, hugs, kisses, laughter and genuine smile, most importantly, you as a whole. Jamye & I had met around 2001, 2002. We had worked together @ TRH. I can still remember vividly first seeing her; a curvy, petite beauty, shoulder length hair, colored eyes with a light skinned complexion. I instantly fell in love...from that point onward, we became friends. Hung out and genuinely enjoyed each others co. We had a lot in common, from music to movies, food and culture. Our friendship blossomed and grew exponentially, I even had a nickname for her; "Jamye P." We never expressed our feelings for eachother in fear of ruining a friendship, several times we had moments where after laughing at silly movie quote's or impersonating pple we deemed need to be roasted, we would stare into each other eyes, smiling big waiting for either of us to make a move...the feeling's we're definitely there. After 2002, we lost touch, went our separate ways and started our adult lives. I never forgot Jamye and would think about her throughout the following years, always wondering if we'd ever get the chance to meet again. In Jan. of 2022, I started work @ Shoreline Sandwich Co. in the courthouse. Cooking, running the breakfast shift, and food prep; not knowing Jamye had already been working there for the years she had been. She had recognized me 1 day and asked my mngr. if the cook they hired was named Abel? She replied yes as Jamye instantly smiled big and blushed. When I was told this, I myself was instantly in my feels, not believing after 20 yrs we'd see eachother again; as I tried to find her on FB, not knowing she had been married. Mid February I came  around the corner to drop a breakfast sandwich to a customer, B4 I stepped to the register I looked up and there she was in all her glory paying for a coffee and that sandwich I had just prepared. We instantly embraced eachother, with blushing faces and smiles that would eventually hurt my face. We chatted for a bit, as we were busy and she didn't want to hold up the line..that day for me was the best day in my life.

I work in the courthouse where Jamie worked. She would come into the restaurant nearly everyday. She was such a beautiful soul and I know she loved her son Keygan more than anything else. She will be missed by me and my entire staff. 

Jamye a  beautiful young lady with a smile on her  face.  I would see her at the Shoreline Sandwich cafeteria at the courthouse ordering breakfast.  She has a big heart ..  a homeless person asked if she could buy some food for him and she did. 

i know youre  gone, but you are not really gone. you may not physically be here on earth. but I can feel your presence. i know you didn’t fully leave us. i know you are watching over us all. idc you will forever be alive within all of our hearts. we will keep your name alive as long as we live.  we love you forever and every tia. I hope you’re laughing right now like you were most the time 😂😂😂😂alll loudddddd. your laugh will always stick with us forreal it is unforgettable. If you know you know 😂😂😂😂

Jamye I will miss your beautiful smile && contagious laugh .You could brighten any room you walked into . I’ll miss seeing you , we first met at Anthony’s salon and spa were we worked together . You were a joy to be around . && I loved seeing you everyday . You had away of making the work day go a little smoother with your sweet words and funny sense of humor , you had a uplifting spirit and always had encouraging words of wisdom. Once you left the spa we remained Facebook friends and you always commented something sweet on my post . I’m going to miss seeing a notification pop up from you. Prayers for your sweet child and family throughout this time . You will be missed angel . 

Jamye was a very nice person.  I always loved when she would come see me at work because it made my day brighter!  She was a very beautiful woman and the love she had for her son was over the moon!! My deepest sympathies for her family and friends.  

Jamye my Love, 😭I write this with tears in my eyes and a wounded heart💔 laying in bed, thinking of you, asking God's will for you to meet me in my dreams, a chance to see you 1 last time and if possible bask in your presence. Our Love for eachother was just blossoming again, as it did 20yrs ago, but this time we were a couple. 6 months I was blessed to share so many sweet memories with You and Keegan.  My life has been marred by your unexpected, undeserved passing,  I will forever hold you close in my heart aswell as your Loving Family. Your smile, laugh and witty attitude are eternally burned within my psyke, I will miss your hugs and especially your kisses, GM texts, and every nano second we got to spend with eachother. Jamye, you were a great neighbor when we were at The Shores.  You were so very creative.  I remember you getting ready for Little Man’s 1st or 2nd bday, firefighters theme.  The things you came up with, this was before Pinterest.  And the decorative Christmas bottles we made that one year.  Wow, it’s hard to believe God called you Home already.  I’m thankful He put you in my life for the season you were in it.  I’ll be praying for your family and those who love you.  You will be missed.  

James, our friendship is something I will never forget.  I could away count on you for great conversation and away down for a sunny day at the beach. I will never forget our Thanksgiving Cowboys game.
