James W. Russell, Jr (RUSS) was taken by the hand by an Angel and led into Heaven on Sunday, February 26, 2023. He passed away at home, surrounded by his loved ones, after a hard fought battle with cancer. Russ loved life and did his best to live it to the fullest. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing, going on vacations, cruises, casino trips, skiing, and he loved good food since he loved to cook. He was always there to help others when they needed him. Always loving, caring, giving and had the biggest heart any one person could have. He was a big teddy bear and gave the best hugs ever. Russ had a large variety of talents that he accumulated over the years. He is best known for his 30 years of amazing work in healthcare as a Certified First Assistant in the Operating Room. He worked in every hospital in Corpus Christi and assisted a variety of surgeons in town. He was excellent at his job and loved what he did. Everyone loved Russ and enjoyed working with him. He will be missed by all.
