Ivan was a Christian and believed in God. He was baptized into the Pentecostal Church when he was a young man. He was a carpenter by trade and worked in construction most of his life. He liked to joke around and you could hardly get a straight answer out of him.
Ivan came from a very talented musical family and had a passion for playing his guitar and singing. He had six siblings and they all played different instruments including guitars, accordions, banjos, organ, and piano. They all loved getting together to play and sing Christian and Country music. You could hear them halfway down the block when the family all got together!
Ivan loved his family and enjoyed family get-to-gathers and special occasions like holidays and birthdays. He always wanted to be a part of family events and bring his guitar. He loved fishing with his kids and grandkids and never had a bad fishing day. Ivan enjoyed working, playing, and singing at the family cabin in the Hill Country, swimming in the Frio River, and walking the river beds.
Ivan will be greatly missed by his family and loved ones.
Ivan is preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Mullin Adams; parents, Connie Dee Adams and Eithel Mae Byrd; three brothers; and three sisters.
He is survived by his loving children, Tina (Tony) Brandon and Todd (Charla) Adams; grandchildren, Teagan Adams, Maxim Adams, Skylar Adams, and Archer Adams; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will begin at 2:00 PM. Entombment will follow at Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
