Herlinda Salazar Rodela

Herlinda Salazar Rodela passed away on May 4, 2024 at the age of 77. She was a lifetime resident of Corpus Christi, Texas. Herlinda was born to the late Jose and Elvira Salazar on February 21, 1947. She will be dearly missed.

Herlinda was a loving wife, mother, sister and aunt. She lived for her family and will be remembered for helping others and always being very giving.

She is reunited with her parents; siblings, Jose “Mickey” Salazar Jr. (Josie), Henry G. Salazar, Frank G. Salazar, and Jesusa Cuellar.

Herlinda leaves to cherish her memories to her husband of 57 beautiful years, Encarnacion S. Rodela; their daughter, Patricia “Pat” Samantha Rodela (Maria Rodriguez); her siblings, Josie “Chita” Figueroa, Margie Rodriguez, Abel G. Salazar (Rosalinda), Janie Garcia (Ruben), Delia S. Garcia (Raul), Mary Ann Salazar (Miguel Marin); she also leaves a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Family will receive friends at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 8200 Old Brownsville Rd. Corpus Christi, TX 78415 on Sunday, May 12, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.

A Funeral Service will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 8200 Old Brownsville Rd. Corpus Christi, TX 78415 on Monday, May 13, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the afternoon. She will be laid to rest in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
