He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Ninfa Mendietta Silguero, brothers, Jose Angel Silguero, Roberto 'Gallo' Silguero and Pedro Silguero.
Laco was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the United States Army. He retired from Parke-Davis/Pfizer as a pharmaceutical representative.
He leaves behind his children to cherish his memories, Anna Lisa Esparza (Rene Mendez), Doris Valdez (Victor), Angelica Guerra (Leo) and Jorge Silguero (Lisa) and their mother, Norma Casas; his siblings, Eva Muniz, Lupita Lopez (Larry), Olga Arrendondo (Rogelio); his longtime friend, Larry Kruckemeyer. He is also survived by his nine grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 7, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
