Henry Lozano, Jr. passed away on June 25, 2011 at the age of 77 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born on July 6, 1934 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Henry and Cleofas Lozano, Sr. Henry was a hardworking man who worked in the concrete industry for over 56 years. He humbly started his career from the ground up and eventually had the privilege to work alongside his son, Henry III and his business, Quality Ready Mix, until his retirement in 2005. He was a wonderful family man who did everything to make sure his family was taken care of. Henry will be dearly missed by all who survive him especially his great-grandchildren who will lovingly remember him as "Mr. Calaca".
Preceding Henry in death are his parents; sister, Ann Holybee and son, Henry Lozano III.
Henry leaves behind to cherish his memories his loving wife of 56 years, Anita Lozano; his children, AnnaBee Lecocke, Carmen Rose Lozano, Nancy Dee Salinas, Minerva Joy Lozano-Studstrup (Steve); daughter-in-law, Lucy Lozano; honorary son, Eddie Barrera and honorary sister, Mildred Stansill. Also surviving Henry are twelve grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and siblings, Agnes Horn, Teresa Perez, Yolanda Lozano, Reynaldo Lozano and Steve Lozano and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members and friends.
Active Pall Bearers will be Ernest D. Mayorga, Henry Lozano, Edward Barrera, Armando Lopez, A.C. Cuellar, Jr. and Albert Perez.
Honorary pall bearers will be Henry Hubert Horn, Mike Trejo, Charlie Hernandez, Stephen Phillips, Steve Studstrup and Cordero Rene Diaz.
The family will be receiving friends at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Monday, June 27, 2011 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a holy rosary to be recited 7:00 pm that same evening.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at 1:30 pm in the Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Msgr. Morgan Rowsome officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
