Hector Guevara

Hector Guevara passed away on January 25, 2019 in Corpus Christi Texas. He was born in Corpus Christi on June 1, 1943 and graduated from West Oso High School. He was a Vietnam Veteran and served in the US Army from 1964-1967. Hector had a passion for hot rod cars and enjoyed playing pool. Most importantly, he was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Nicholas and Timotea Guevara and brother Gilberto Guevara. He is survived by his wife Oralia Guevara, his three daughters, Patricia Guevara, Melinda McKenzie, Roxanne Gonzalez (Aaron), his seven grandchildren, Randy Cantu, Ryan Cantu, Aiden Gonzalez, Aaron Gonzalez Jr., Amris Gonzalez, Zoey McKenzie, Madison McKenzie, and his sister Alicia Benavides, his brothers Emir Guevara, Leonel Guevara (Vivian), and Nicholas Guevara Jr. and numerous nephews and nieces.

Family will be receiving family and friends on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. Mass will be held at Our Lady of Pilar Church on Wednesday January 30, 2019 at 12:30 p.m. followed by the burial at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery with full military honors.
