Gloria A. Montiel, 60, of Corpus Christi, TX, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2021. She was born in Corpus Christi, TX on June 12, 1961. She spent over 40 years with her loving husband, Ramiro Montiel, while raising their five children together. Gloria’s pride and joy were her grandchildren, as she loved spoiling and spending time with them. She devoted all of her life taking care of her family and their home, they were all proud to call her Mom and Wife.
Gloria held on to her faith and loved to go on road trips to visit Basilica of Our Lady of San Juan del Valle. She loved catching up with her family and friends by talking on the phone daily, going shopping and eating good food.
Gloria is preceded in death by her daughter, Melissa Kraus; parents, Filiberto and Consuelo Valdez, Sr.; and her brother, Juan Valdez.
She is survived by her husband, Ramiro Montiel; children, Ramiro (Kris) Montiel Jr., Michael (Marisa) Montiel, Andrew (Krista) Montiel, and Adrian Montiel; 15 grandchildren; siblings, Feliberto Valdez Jr., Norma (Hector) Olivarez and David Valdez. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will miss her deeply.
