Gloria G Lozano (Nena) passed away Friday March 23, 2012, after a courageous and graceful battle with cancer. She was born September 21, 1928 in Corpus Christi. Gloria was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her husband Irineo C. Lozano. Her father Lino Garcia, her mother Matilda C Banda, two brothers Joseph Garcia, Geronimo Banda, and one sister Norma Banda.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories four daughters Inez De Alejandro, Charlotte Trevino, Sandra (Frank) Vasquez, Rachel (FC) Cortez and one son Carlos Miguel (Yvonne); thirteen grandchildren, Deanna Marie De Alejandro, Annette Latka, Gloria Ester Krugel, Sandra Ann Odem, Moses De Alejandro, Rey Martinez, Adolfo (Brandi) Trevino III, Andrea Maria(Chris) Monroe, David Andrew Reyes, Susan Ashley Reyes, Jason Homer (Cristan) Lozano, Amber Rodriguez, Jesse Rodriguez, and Jonathan Rodriguez. Nineteen great grandchildren Omar Gonzalez, Moses Luis Cortez, Joe Anthony Gonzalez, Cynthia Inez Tamez, Dylan Gordon, Michael Gordon, Amber Smith, Sarah Wilsey, Christopher Odem, Carson Odem, Cade Odem, Brianna Inez De Alejandro, Moses De Alejandro III, Maria Nicole Alexandria Trevino, Osjha Montez Trevino, Adrianna Charlize Trevino, Kimberly Page, Jason Homer Lozano Jr, Naylei Rodriguez, and Jordynn Rodriguez. Her survivors include four great- great-grandchildren Alexis Gonzalez, Athena Rose Cortez, Moses Rhu Cortez, and Santos Jagger Rosales; three sisters, Irma Perales, Yolanda (Pablo) Molina, Deanna (Romolo) De Los Santos; three brothers Rolando (Hilda) Banda, Richard Garcia and Guadalupe Garcia.
She is also survived by numerous beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends, especially good friends Olivia, Nellie and Emma.
Pallbearers will be Carlos Miguel Lozano, Adolfo Trevino III, Moses De Alejandro, Jason Homer Lozano, Rey Martinez and Joe Anthony Gonzalez.
Viewing will from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at Funeraria Del Angel Memorial Holly, 3442 Holly Road. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 701 S. 19th Street. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
