Gloria Anita Gonzalez

Gloria Anita Gonzalez passed away on July 23, 2016 at the age of 83. She was born on May 22, 1933 in Robstown, TX to the late Abel and Clara Flores. She worked with the State School food service for 12 years and was also a crossing guard for CCISD for 10 years before retiring to care for her husband and her grandchildren. Gloria lived at 2317 Carolyn Dr. in Corpus Christi for 45 years and the last few years resided at 1907 Hwy 534 in Sandia. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents; children, Jesse Flores Pompa and Robert Everett Olivares and numerous siblings. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Ruperto V. Gonzalez;; 5 grandchildren, Lilly Bayder (Jason), Robert Everett Olivares, Lorraine Gomez (Eric), Leticia O Miller (Shawn) and Elizabeth Marie Wright; 14 great-grandchildren and daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Olivares. Visitation will be held at Funeraria del Angel Memorial Holly, 3442 Holly Rd, on Monday, July 25 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm that same evening. Chapel services will be held at Funeraria del Angel Memorial Holly on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at 3:00 pm. Services will conclude after the chapel service.
